2011 Fantasy Football Preview:QB's

Football is back, son!  Time to gear up and start preparing for your fantasy drafts.Kevin Kolb has finally landed in Arizona after months of speculation, Donovan McNabb is in Minnesota, Matt Hasselbeck is in Tennessee..hell let's just cut to the chase.  On to the rankings!

  1. Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay) - Rodgers will have a healthy JerMichael Finley back in addition to his already potent receiving corps.  His 4-5 rushing TDs are icing on the cake.
  2. Tom Brady (New England) - Brady finished 2010 as a top 3 fantasy QB on his way to a unanimous MVP campaign.  He now has a new weapon to work with - Chad Ochocinco.
  3. Michael Vick (Philadelphia) - For months Rodgers has held the top spot, but if we're assuming a healthy 16 games from everyone, no other QB comes close to Vick's upside.
  4. Drew Brees (New Orleans) - I expect more run plays called with Mark Ingram in the fold, but this offense isn't going to skip a beat with Darren Sproles replacing Reggie Bush as a pass catcher.
  5. Peyton Manning (Indianapolis) - Clark will be back, Collie will be back, and Reggie Wayne is still one of the best WRs in the game.  Health concerns drop him a spot.
  6. Philip Rivers (San Diego) - I don't expect another 4,700 yard, 30 TD season from Rivers, and I expect more of Ryan Mathews.  He's still a stud fantasy QB though.
  7. Matt Ryan (Atlanta) - Ryan quietly finished as the 8th highest scoring fantasy QB in 2010.  Adding Julio Jones to go with Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez only helps.
  8. Tony Romo (Dallas) - Injury robbed Romo of his 2010 season, but with this fleet of pass catchers in Dallas, even you and I could put up solid fantasy numbers.  He'll be fine.
  9. Matt Schaub (Houston) - Arian Foster has taken some of the luster off of Schaub's fantasy appeal, but he was still one of only 5 QBs to throw for over 4,000 yards in 2010.
  10. Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh) - He may not be a 4,000 yard passer, but what he lacks in passing he makes up for in rushing.  His fantasy playoff schedule is nice as well.
  11. Eli Manning (New York Giants) - Eli always slips in fantasy drafts for some reason and he's starting fantasy QB material. Even tough he throws a lot of picks he makes up for it with his TD's passes and gets like 25+. You can wait a long time to draft a QB this year.
  12. Kevin Kolb (Arizona) - He's finally in Arizona with a fat new contract.  I'm excited he's a starter too, but let's not get crazy.  He has a lot of learning and adjusting to do.
  13. Josh Freeman (Tampa Bay) - Vastly underrated in 2010, Freeman isn't going to fly under anyone's radar in 2011.  He's a dual threat on a young and upcoming offense.
  14. Jay Cutler (Chicago) - Newly acquired WR Roy Williams will help, but Cutler can't be trusted as a fantasy starter.  He makes too many bad decisions.
  15. Matthew Stafford (Detroit) - If Stafford could just stay healthy that is a big if, he'd be a top 10 fantasy producer.  He comes with a LOT of risk on draft day, but his potential is huge.
Sleeper:Ryan Fitzpatrick (Buffalo) - Fitzpatrick found his way on to 2010 fantasy rosters and will likely do so again in 2011.  Buffalo didn't draft a QB, so Fitzpatrick is the guy once again look for around the same production from last year if not more.

Bust: It is a tie between Kyle Orton and Matt Cassel.
  1. Kyle Orton (Denver) - The trade to Miami fell through.  He remains in Denver and he's taking the first team snaps. The reason why he had so many stats last year was he was in Josh McDaniels pass happy offense the last two years and this year he is under John Fox run first approach which will limit his passing numbers to an huge extent his TD's number will probably there but yardage won't.
  2. Matt Cassel (Kansas City) - Cassel had a rock solid 2010 campaign that earned him a trip to the Pro Bowl.  Can he do it again in 2011?  I'm skeptical. He is good bye week replacement for your starter. He does do damage against bad defenses that is where he will help you.
