2011 NFL Draft Preview WR's

  1. A.J Green Georgia- Green is a physical specimen at 6'4' and 212 pounds. Combine those tools with 4.38 speed and great hands and what you have is a can't-miss prospect. He's the type of receiver who will make his quarterback look better by consistently bringing in jump balls.
  2. Julio Jones Alabama- Jones has outstanding size at 6'4'' and 220 pounds as well compared to A.J Green. Jones has great hands and makes plays that no other receiver can make because of his height. He's a guy who can do nice things for you after the catch, and he already understands how to play in a pro-style offense.
  3. Randall Cobb Kentucky- He may not be the best WR in the world but he sure is a playmaker when he touches the ball. Cobb is this years draft version of Percy Harvin . Cobb is rising on draft boards thanks to his jack-of-all-trades skill set.
  4. Leonard Hankerson Miami(FL)-He has the natural ability to start right away, and the potential to develop into a legitimate No. 1 option in some team's passing game. Hankerson has a nice big target in traffic and in the red zone.
  5. Jonathan Baldwin Pitt- Baldwin and JuiloJones are very similar players.  The main difference between the two is Jones is the more disciplined route runner while Baldwin has the better hands of the two. Many people will be comparing him to Larry Fitzgerald because of the Pitt connection but the fact is no on can be compared to Fitzgerald he is a freak of nature which should never be compared to. Baldwin will be a good player but no the caliber of Larry Fitz.
Who is the ideal Patriot given draft projections?
  1. Greg Little UNC- Suspended for the entire 2010 season by the NCAA for maintaining an inappropriate relationship with an agent, NFL. Even though he didn't play a single snap last year Little is a physical specimen that Pats should not pass up 6-2 230 with speed. He has also in the past played RB which gives him versatility which the Patriots love.
  2. Austin Pettis Boise St- He may not be the fastest WR in the world but he knows how to get open and score TD's that's all you need to be a successful WR and he would be a welcome addition to the Patriots.
Sleepers who could make you second guess yourself why didn't I draft them instead
  1. Greg Salas Hawaii- All this kid was catch balls left and right and get tons of yards for the Rainbow warriors. I don't know why he isn't getting any love from teams he may because all Hawaii does is throw the ball but that isn't his fault plus for it to work he has to catch which he does enough said.
  2. Courtney Smith South Alabama/Terrence Tolliver LSU- Just think Marques Colston 2.0 both of them have this all written over him. They have the height, weight, and skill set you would want in a WR. They both  have some off the field baggage which is hurting their draft stock but whoever gets either of them will definitely be getting  great players with huge upside.
